Does velcro cause static electricity?

I just built a computer and I want to neaten up the case by binding my unused psu cables together and I bought these nifty little cable ties. They are made of nylon but they stick close with velcro, will that do any harm to my computer? I would have bought zip ties but the store didn't have any!

1. i would say not if you bought them from a PC shop there not dumb, i think i know what your talking about aswell. they should be fine to use :) goodluck
2. I haven't noticed any static electricity from velcro. You can however see static electricity in the dark. Tonight turn the lights out in your room and put them together and pull them apart and watch for small sparks, if you don't see any, then that's your answer.
